Tammy Linn For ND District 46 Representative In the Legislative Assembly
Tammy Linn
Candidate for District 46 Representative
Experience. Education. Ethics.

Tammy Linn
Experience. Education. Ethics.
Tammy has 25 years of experience in business and government, as well as 10 years of experience in education. In addition, she has been a community volunteer for decades both doing hands-on work, as well as founding and being president of several not-for-profit organizations. She is well-known as the founder of a major ethics and character nonprofit, as well as starting a character education initiative training teachers, students, and business leaders throughout the southwest.
Consequently, her experience, passion, energy, and educational background make her a well-rounded candidate for the North Dakota State Legislature (District 46).

Tammy believes that because children make up about 24% of our population and 100% of our future, that we need to do whatever we can to ensure their success.

North Dakota Youth Risk Behavior Survey
Did you know?
The 2019 ND Youth Risk Behavior Survey reported:
- 55.5% of middle school students reported their mental health was not good at least 1 day during the last 30 days.
- 34.7% of high school students smoked or vaped at least 1 time in the last 30 days (this is a trending increase).
-30.5% of high school students felt sad or helpless almost every day for 2 weeks (this is an increase).

What is my plan to address these issues?
Work with the Education Policy Committee and Health Services Committee, in collaboration with the ND Dept. of Education and Dept. of Health Services, to develop a plan to address the drastic increase in vaping amongst students.

Work with the Education Policy Committee and Health Services Committee, and appropriate agencies to reach out and develop an action plan to address student mental and physical health issues targeted to parents through parent organizations (PTAs, etc.) and other family and health non-profits.

Tammy Linn, M.Ed.
Family and Future-Focus
Born and raised in North Dakota, Tammy Linn and her husband, Steve, chose to raise their sons in ND too. Having spent many years away from "home," they returned because of the excellent school systems; outstanding medical care; and the low crime rate.

Tammy believes that children are the future and we need to teach and nurture them, as well as be a role model to them. With that in mind, she went back to school and earned a master's degree in education. She has taught at-risk high school students, middle school students, and adults.

Because of these experiences, she sees the day-to-day struggles and challenges faced by our teachers. Also, she is on the front line understanding and dealing with students mental health and family issues that relate to their education.
